DAY 12       GOA, INDIA

January 9, 2024

Our excursion today went about a hour's drive from the port into a small rustic museum sponsored by a collector of local and traditional Chitra (region) pieces of history of daily life.

So much of the enjoyment of the excursions for us had to do with the travels to and from the locations we were going.  We saw much poverty, many beautiful temples, lots of pretty scenery and SOOO many people. Our bus rides were an adventure in themselves....it was as if the drivers were navigating their bus like they would be driving their own motorcycle...weaving in and out of traffic....passing on the left and right...but everyone else was dong the same thing!!!

Our first stop at the small local museum....full of thousands of antique artifacts....farming tools and equipment, household tools, musical instruments, medical instruments, and some beautiful antique carriages

Our stop for lunch and a beach break at the 5 star resort

And back to the port and ship!
