DAY 59 and 60 (part 1) - Hong Kong, China
February 25-26, 2024
Arrival into Hong Kong was early morning...so that allowed us to take an early quick excursion into the city for a couple of hours. We went up a funicular to the peak above the city, saw a park with some painted statues, and took a small boat ride through the harbor and fish market. It was a great introduction to a very big city.
The goal was to get the coin into the fish's mouth!
Since we knew that we had three days and two nights in coming up in Hong Kong, we had decided to book a hotel room and experience the city on our own.
A local Highball recipe in the room from Hong Kong made with tea flavored gin.
Just a couple of tea and coffee shops in the attached mall.
Morning brought some in-room coffee - so nice to make your own, as the ship has no coffee makers in the room. (But it does have a frig!)
But cappuccino is a different story! The room included the breakfast buffet of rice soup, assorted dumplings and fried rice....along with everything else you could think of. But we had to try these!
After a nice hot-tub and cold pool dip, we packed up, got some local currency and headed to the ferry to go back across the water to the ship.
