DAY 65 - Sea Day - Bouncing over the East China Sea

March 2, 2024

We knew the seas were going to be rough as we left the port last night,  Dinner out became a carry in to the room,  We had sugar coated dried ginger candy brought into the room along with hot water and real ginger to make our own tea. The cruise director came over the loudspeaker advising - as calmly as he could - for everyone to hold onto the railings while walking in the halls and on the stairs - and to be prepared for any sudden severe movements of the ship.. The pool was emptied.  The little white bags were put out in the hallways by the elevators.  Fortunately John slept through most of it...the rocking putting him to sleep.  Leslie couldn't sleep - so she went in the other room to read - and swore that the ship's bouncing lifted her off of the couch several times.

So no thoughts about breakfast today  But by lunch it started to calm down a bit and we were able to leave the room and head up to eat something.  Dinner was relatively calm as we neared the shore of our next destination. The crew laughed it off, but I'm not sure many of the passengers did! So sorry...no pictures today!!!
